Merry Christmas! Wishing you all a peaceful holiday season with your loved ones. haven’t been posting as much but I need to give all of you an update on our living room in the new year. Tiffany and her team @tiffanyleighdesign have been helping me transform this space! I have a few things left to do and then I will post a full reveal.

Who doesn’t love a good DIY IKEA hack? Tiffany from @tiffanyleighdesign shared one for her bedroom nightstands. I wanted to share this picture of my friend’s front entry because she used her tutorial and it turned out beautifully! She said it was easy to follow and loves the final result. Cottage update! Last fall I posted that we are off

Cottage update! Last fall I posted that we are officially looking for a cottage... well, apparently we aren’t the only ones! One cottage recently sold for $200k over asking and there were 20 offers!! 😟 There isn’t much on the market right now but we know that will change in a few months. In the meantime, I will keep working on my Pinterest board! You can find it under @ sweetmapleblog .

My plan this year is to show you more of our home and how we have been renovating it! This is our laundry room, swipe left to see some pictures of how this space looked before. This space is in the addition to our house that was added by the original owners. I painted the wood panelling in 2009. In 2013 we closed the wall to renovate the main floor. I added a 2nd kitchen area but it didn’t get used as much once we built our deck so it was not a useful space anymore. In 2018 we started working with Tiffany Leigh Design on our basement which included moving the laundry room up one level. We are so happy with this space now and how functional it is! 🧺

This lovely area is a bonus space in our home! Originally it was a crawl space under an addition the previous owners built. A few years ago we dug it out to make it usable... then with Tiffany’s help, she designed what you see now! We use this room often so it was worth all of that work.
