The incredibly talented Sarah Richardson recently came out with a book, Sarah Style. I do love Sarah Richardson’s work so I pre-ordered this book in the summer (yes, I was eager). When it arrived in the mail, it was exactly what I was hoping for – Sarah did not disappoint. You see, when I was working on my son’s nursery, my sunroom, and our main floor renovation, I often referred to Sarah Richardson’s work on her website or HGTV.  Her rooms are such a great reference for designing your home. Before I started watching her shows on HGTV, I didn’t know how to convey my personal style in a room. I picked the dark living room furniture, kept the toss cushions that came with the couch and picked safe accents… then I started to see what she would do with a room, mixing wood stains, 7 different fabrics, and it all was so inspiring.

This book showcases more than 100 rooms (narrowed down from over 300 rooms!) over 10 chapters and 368 pages. The information is short, helpful and very easy to digest. Sarah shares her recipe for design, and countless other tips on turning your house into a home. The book is beautifully done, Sarah clearly had a huge part in this book… she said she wrote every word, loved picking out the fonts, and you can tell it’s her book just by looking at the colours on the cover.
