Goodbye 2013, Welcome 2014!
January 6th, 2014

I’m back after a bit of a break enjoying time with my family over the holidays… it was our 1st Christmas with our son! It was amazing and I was even crying one afternoon while wrapping presents with him watching me in his seat because I was so happy haha.
2013 brought a lot of happiness – found out I was pregnant last January, our son was born in October and went through an amazing renovation of our main floor. It also brought a great loss, I lost my grandmother… she was so special to our family and friends. I miss her every single day and wish I could see her again or hear her voice. Even though I wish she could have been there the day N was born, I’m glad she was able to share in the happiness with us knowing I was expecting and she was the first to know the name we picked.
What will 2014 bring for me? Well, I can’t wait to see my little guy grow and explore the world around him. I hope to add more to Sweet Maple, like sharing different projects we have done around the house, future projects and of course the reveal of our main floor. I also have a New Year’s resolution of being healthy and losing some weight. I know this is the most popular NY resolution but it has a different meaning for me now that I’ve had a baby and I’m home snacking all day. I gained 10 pounds over the last 2 months snacking on apple crisp topping (yes, just the topping), chocolate covered almonds and mini cinnamon buns… oops.
Hope you had a wonderful time over the holidays and an amazing 2014! ox
Great post! Looking forward to exciting adventures in 2014! Possibly a marathon?
Possibly:) That’s a scary thought! With your support, I’m sure I could do it!
I can’t wait to see the reveal of your main floor. Also, you look great for someone who just had a baby 3 months ago! I try and keep only a few sweets in the house but I could never get rid of them all! I love chocolate covered almonds 🙂
Thanks Amy, that’s sweet of you to say! Chocolate covered almonds are no longer welcome in my house until I have willpower to eat only a few a day;)
So happy to hear that you had a great holiday! Can’t wait to see the main floor!
Thanks Lindsey! Hope you and your family had a great Christmas!
