Mudroom renovation
November 13th, 2012
Renovation update- we are just waiting on the final plans for our main floor then our renovation can start. I hope to post some pictures of the plans soon!
Here are some pictures of our mudroom renovation (next to the sunroom) that we did last summer. It started off with an waste of space with floor to ceiling storage. So we decided to put tile through it and connect it to the rest of the floor. We like to entertain so having a second kitchen area was important, helps out during bbq season. Added a few wardrobes thanks to an idea I got from Sarah’s House 1 .
This is what the space looked like before
What happened along the way…
After!
As you can see we added a new window because after closing in this area from the rest of the house we were going to lose a lot of light. It was pretty scary watching Matt cut into the brickk but it worked out! We get a lot of use out of this room while entertaining and I can keep all of our summer serving dishes and plastic cups in the cabinets. I need to add some more artwork above the 4 pictures and some coat hooks. We don’t have kids yet but can imagine filling up these wardrobes pretty quickly one day, currently it holds shoes I never wear and Perrier Water from Costco.
