Sunroom Transformation
August 9th, 2012
When we first started this project last summer we debated on whether or not to put money into the room, maybe it was worth it to tear it down and put the money into other projects? We decided that it would be a room we would enjoy and to keep the extra space in our house so we went for it! Took just over a couple months and it was well worth it!
Have a look at some before pictures of the room…
Lovely right? I was honestly scared to walk through this room to get to our backyard!
We gutted the room (there wasn’t much to take out) and started over….
And here is our fresh lovely sunroom….

Laura that looks amazing! You guys did such a great job! I love the light shade… Do you wanna come and do our house for us? =D
Thanks Kayla! I was pretty happy to find that shade at West Elm, it was a very unexpected find! And I would love to!;)
Laura,
I love this! It looks so good. You and Matt have mad skills 🙂
Thanks Sarah:)
Wow Laura that sunroom looks amazing. You guys should be doing this for a living!!! It’s gorgeous.
Thank you Iris! It was really fun working on this room
I will never get tired of looking at this transformation! love the matches. never noticed them before
Thanks Candice! The matches are new… starting to collect matchbooks!
Wow! Such a great before and after! Everything is so pretty. How are you liking the ikea sectional? I’ve seen it around blogland and wonder how comfy it is. Glad you stopped by so I could find you.
How fun to be planning a trip to Paris. I went about four years ago in april and loved it. Will you be going to Monet’s garden? We didn’t have time.
Thank you!! I do enjoy the sectional and do not have any regrets buying it. I think I would need something more plush if this were in my basement/family room. I was deciding between this and west elm’s slipcover sectional and the size and the lines of the Ikea couch won me over.
We are trying to figure out where to say in Paris – do you have any suggestions? not sure what areas is the best?
I will definitely add Monet’s Garden to the list. We are staying for 3 nights so we could try to make it work.
